Andrew Kennedy, C.P. concerning the St. Maria Goretti Novena at St. Joseph's. Bishop alludes to criticisms he has heard about this - (a) the extent of publicity given to the novena and (b) the expressed, or implied, invitation to make offerings. The novena has his blessing, but he feels that Fr. Andrew would wish to look into these criticisms. (See also items under serial numbers 8718 and 8719.)

This, evidently, is the tracing sent to the Rector by his silicitors requesting that the site of the burst banks be marked (see previous entry).
