The sub-series comprises papers relating to significant political figures and events and includes letters from George Noble Plunkett and Arthur Griffith and a signed admission card to the first meeting of Dáil Éireann.

This sub-series comprises papers mostly relating to the ministries performed by Fr. Dominic O'Connor OFM Cap. in Oregon in the United States following his release from British detention in January 1922. The sub-series also includes records referring to Fr. Dominic's death in October 1935 and tributes and commemorations thereafter.

Research for the Cause of Father Mathew

The subseries contains material assembled with a view to undertaking a beatification process for Fr. Theobald Mathew OSFC. The files include evidence and investigations into cures attributed to the intercession of prayers at Fr. Mathew’s grave in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Cork.

Maps, Plans and Drawings

This sub-series contains plans, drawings and architectural or engineering specifications and blueprints for properties and premises acquired by the Capuchins in Kilkenny. The section includes many drawings for the extension to the Friary, designed by Samuel F. Hynes (1854-1931), and completed in 1897. It all also includes plans (by the architect Sylvester Bourke) for the extension to the Capuchin novitiate at the Kilkenny Friary which was completed in 1960.
