Handwritten letter to +McQuaid from F.H. Boland, Dept. of External Affairs. His impression is that the International Red Cross will be able to ensure the distribution of our supplies in Hungary. Now that travel from Central Europe is becoming easier they are starting to feel the full pressure of the refugee problem – thousands of Catholics who will not return to their homes as they will not live under the Russians.

In it he informed the Archbishop that the Cardinal was delighted to accept the invitation to be his house guest. He has now presented the programme regarding the lunch in Clonliffe and the garden party in Iveagh House to the Cardinal. Mr. McCarthy who is organising the trip will visit the Archbishop while in Dublin.
