Handwritten letter from + W. Philbin, to + McQuaid thanking him for his generous gift. They have been through dreadful times. One good thing arose from the troubles. Young people have become mature and responsible citizens overnight, taking over maintenance of law and order and eliminating petty crime as well as picketing and manning barricades, no police being around even yet.
