He will do all in his power to see to it that the repercussions be not unjust towards the Jewish community. It would be a grievious wrong, if the actions of a group of irreligious Israeli people, with mere political and commercial aims to pursue, should cause hurt to innocent people in Dublin.

He feels the evolution of a civilization based on materialism and scientific development will be disastrous unless a sense of moral and ethical responsibility can be inculcated in these people. This can only be done through education. This will rest largely with the Church.
