Arthur Griffith, Michael Collins

A memorial booklet commemorating Arthur Griffith and Michael Collins. Harry Clarke (1889-1931), artist, provided the illustrated cover (which is lacking). Printed in Dublin by Martin Lester. The booklet contains many photographic illustrations and articles by Piaras Beaslai, Eoin MacNeill and others.

The Franciscan Capuchin Mission Manual published at St. Mary of the Angels, Church Street, Dublin. The manual contains hymns, information on mission ceremonials, notes on the Father Mathew Total Abstinence Association, and the form of the pledge to be taken at missions given by the Capuchin friars.

Manuscript Draft of ‘Sgéal “Sheandúin”’

Draft transcription (with emendations and notes) of ‘Sgéal “Sheandúin”’ (Tadhg Ó Murchadha). The transcription was probably compiled by Br. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. for his serial publication of Ó Murchadha’s text in ‘The Father Mathew Record’ (July 1924-August 1925). It appears that transcription is missing several pages.

Letter to Fr. Senan Moynihan re Pearse Family Photographs

A letter to Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. referring to Leon Ó Brion’s request for copies of photographs of the Pearse family for a publication in Belgium. The letter notes that Senator Margaret Mary Pearse claimed that Moynihan had ‘the best collection there was’.

Framed Temperance Medals

Two framed temperance medals. Both of the medals have ribbons attached (purple and green). The purple ribbon has the following inscription: ‘Approach them once a month / Live worthy of them the entire month / They loose and bind in heaven’. The medal with the green ribbon has an image of St. Patrick with the motif ‘Apostle of Ireland / Pray for Us’. The inscription above reads ‘Temperance / Perseverance’.

Deed of Richard Samuel Owen Robinson and Rev. Andrew Craig Robinson appointing Thomas Jones Robinson to be a trustee of the will Sarah Blair in the place of Richard Bell Robinson, deceased. With a declaration that the lands and premises which are the subject of the trusts of the will of Sarah Blair should forthwith be vested in Thomas Jones Robinson.
