Copy letter from +McQuaid to +Robinson, thanking him for being permitted to read the letter addressed to the Holy Father by Mgr. McDaid, on the subject of the Irish College, Rome. He states that the finances of the College need addressing and that the Irish Hierarchy are aware of its difficulties. He also discusses the Villa at Gaeta and states that he was one of the first to suggest it be sold. A more appropriate one could be found in Northern Italy where seminarians could spend their summer holidays. He believes that no further action should be taken on the Irish College at this time.
