It does not contain an episcoipal seal (Dublin?) or the inscription "Scripta Servi Dei", as do the previous 5 items, so it is not clear whether contents were scrutinised during the Cause. In fact the envelope only contains 17 items

1846034 Blessed Charles Houben, C.P., Writings: 34 pages entitled transcript of The Writings of the Ven. Servant of God, Fr. Charles of St. Andrew. It consiste of Meditations on (1) the end of a Christian, (2) the end of a Religious Person, and the remaining pages contain different thoughts on religious subjects. At present it is not possible to locate the orignal. It may be Blessed Charles's note book which is located in the Museum.

1846034 Blessed Charles Houben, C.P., Writings: volume containing transcriptions into French of 81 letters written by Fr. Charles. The volume is entittled "Lettres du Serviteur de Diu P. Charles de S. Andre Passioniste". It is evidently the French version of the volume of Dutch transcriptions located ar 4/5/1/13 (q.v.)

The following details are typed on the envelope: "Contents: letter (authenticated copy) written by the Servant of God to a certain Mrs. Mooney ". Letter acknowledges with thanks blocks and money.

1846034 Blessed Charles Houben, C.P., Writings: McEvoy Family: transcripts of two letters written by Blessed Charles to Mrs, McEvoy, and one by him to her daughter, Pauline. Mrs. McEvoy lived at Tobertynan House, Longwood, Co, Meath and the family was visited by Fr. Charles on several occasions. In gratitude for the gift of a baby daughter - some maintain as a result of intercession by Fr. Charles - they erected a shrine to Our Lady of Lourdes in the woods at their house in 1868. Fr. Charles may have blessed this shrine. For interesting developments re this shrine see correspondence located at 4/4/3/20-25. The daughter, Pauline, named after St. Paul of the Cross, may also have been cured in later life by Blessed Charles. She married the Duke de Stacpoole in 1883. These typescripts were made by Fr. Oliver Kelly, C.P., from the originals, loaned by Major George Stacpoole in 1961,
NB. SINCE THE ABOVEN ENTRY WAS MADE, THE ORIGINALS OF THE LETTERS REFERRED TO HAVE COME TO HAND AND ARE ENTERED UNDER SERIAL NUMBERS 8411, 8412 AND 8413. THE TYPED COPIES (REFERRED TO ABOVE) HAVE BEEN ATTACHED TO EACH ORIINAL. THE ABOVE RECORD CONCERNING THE TYPED COPIES HAS, THERFORE, BEEN CANCELLED.

Blessed Charles - Cause:- Informative Process - Draft of a letter from Oswald Donnelly, C.P., to the Archbishop's Secretary mentioning that he had not received a reply to his letter of 14th May seeking an audience in order to present his "instantia" petitioning the introduction of the "Informative Process". Requests that he may now present the "instanta" to the Secretary.
