Typed letter to Fr. J. Phair, O.M.I., House of Retreats, Inchicore, from F. O’Reilly, Executive Secretary. The information he gave about Goold, Scanlon, Gibbons being Communists was confidential, for the use of the Order. Would be glad to know if he spoke to Mr. Kinsella and how their conversation was reported to him. Surprised that confidential information should be passed to those concerned.
Dempsey, Alan P., 6 Mount Eden Road, Donnybrook. The responsibility of providing meals for children in primary schools is that of the local authorities, but the School Meals Committee is composed of school managers, many of whom are priests. Some of them see this as socialism. Children could go hungry and Catholics could lose their faith with this attitude.

‘Irish man and women’. Asks if the Archbishop is aware that the British Government is opening a Labour Exchange in Dublin for placing Irish workers in war work in Britain. This will threaten our neutrality.
