'Hints to Soin of Seminaire as to preparation for Examination of Irish College [Paris] candidates'. These notes were instructions for how to prepare the examination hall.
(a) the rules of various minor offices in the seminaire, (b) letters sent to and received from seminarists in other provinces of the cm, and (c) a few prayer leaflets, plus miscellaneous documents.
[Explanatory note: soin=care in French. So ‘the soin of…’ means the confrere (student) ‘in charge of...’.]
Receipt from O’Hagan & Son, solicitors, detailing services rendered and payments due, regarding property at Blackrock, formerly owned by the Pilsworth family, bought by the Vincentians between 1873 and 1892. This is a very useful document for tracing the movement of this property.
