The property has previously been held by other people such as, among others, John Cavanagh, members of the Campion family, Alexander Pilsworth of Ceylon and George Minchin of New Ross, County Wexford.

Order from Dun Laoghaire Corporation for the demolition of some buildings at Blackrock. These buildings are at Sweetman’s Avenue, Carroll’s Court and Murray’s Court. There is a schedule attached to the order, which lists many buildings in Blackrock and names their owners and lessees at the time. Most were not owned by the Vincentians. There are four copies of the order and schedule, one addressed to each of four Vincentian trustees of Saint Joseph’s College, Blackrock.
