1769009 St. Vincent Strambi, C.P., 1921050 Aloysisu McDonagh,: "Champion of the Church and Poor Saint Vincent Strambi, Passionist Bishop" by Aloysius McDonagh, C.P.,
Kavanagh, Rev. Fr. John: MSS and associated items in Mount Argus Archives: SECONDARY SOURCES; Printed Articles: article from "Wicklow People" entitled "Church of Sts. Michael and Mary" commemorating the centenary of that church situated in Rathdrum. It is of particular interest because of its reference to the statement of the historian Fr. Myles Ronan, that it was Fr. Kavanagh, former parish priest of Rathdrum, who rebuilt the church at Greenane, restored the church at Macreddin and built the church at Clara Vale. Reference is also made to Fr. Kavanagh being the builder of Clara Vale in "Reportorium Novum" copy of which was received from the Archdiocesan Archivist (see item at 8/4/3/13 serial no 7110).
