Martin concerning the proceedures to be observed during exhumation and official recognition.. It would appear that these questions may have been asked in connection with the exhumation of Fr. Dominic Barberi, C.P., and that this summary was forwarded in turn by Urban Young , C.P., to Gerald O'Boyle, C,P., Vive-Postulator of the cause of Fr. Charles as a guide to the proceedures to be observed in the case of Fr. Charles. This document was enclosed with a letter of 02-09-1937 from Urban to Gerald. under serial no 6636.

Bl. Charles - Cause:- Informative Process - press cutting (no indication of source) announcing the establishment of the Informative Process of Fr. Charles and requesting those who had received favours through the intercession of the Servant of God to contact Gerald O'Boyle. Also appended to the announcement is a short biography of Fr. Charles by Alice Dease which had appeared in the columns of this paper previously. (In connection with the announcement see iotem under serial no 6098 concerning a correction to the press announcement suggested by the Archbishop's Secretary.)
Blessed Charles - Lives: - The Life Of Father Charles by Austin Bonner, C.P. Published Dublin 1893. Our late esteemed Archivist, Declan O'Sullivan has added a note to the title page which reads as follows: "For who was the actual author, see Nova Positio Super Vietutibus, P. Caroli, 1972 Part III". The actual author was Columban Tyne.
