St. Joseph's Retreat, Cloonamahon, Collooney letter to the Provincial, Fr. Gerald O'Boyle, C.P., from the Bishop of Achonry, Patrick Morrisroe. Bishop sugests that Gerald has an agreement drawn up for the establishment of a monastic foundation in Collooney for the education of Passionist students for the foreign missions. He sets out on page 2 the conditions to be incoproprated into the agreement: namely, that no collections, questing, draws, lotteries be carried out in the diocese and that the bishop shall have the right to make regulatiuons in regard to the public oratory, specifically that the public may only attend mass there at the times fixed by the bishop and that on certaimn feasts, eg., Easter and Christmas, the public shall not be admitted.
