Two photographic prints showing Bedouin Arabs in Bethlehem, Palestine, in about 1930. The original captions for the prints are as follows: (top) ‘The Bedouin Arabs from all parts of Judea come into the market at Bethlehem to sell their flocks of goats and camels to local Christians. The market is held every Saturday but very few tourists find their way to this interesting spot in the ancient city’. (bottom) ‘Bethlehem – an unusual scene. The market place is a spot off the track for pilgrims and tourists’.

Your Grace, My dear Archbishop
Before leaving Dublin yesterday I had intended to write
you a word of sincere thanks for the permission granted
me of visiting the schools in your Archdiocese. Kindly ac
cept it from me here in Denmark
Our first three postulants from Dublin left with
the Novice Mistress on the 15th and entered, the Novitiate
on our Lady's Feast. They were very brave learning
their dear ones and I am convinced that this initial
sacrifice will bring many graves to them, this dear
ones and to the whole Mystical Body. We hope
thru others will join three on September 8th together
with five from Newry and Belfast
I arrived here from Dublin last evening and was
met by our sisters at the airport. On arriving
at the Convent, can you imagine my surprise when
