Curia has agreed for permission to spend £160 on the new well-boring. But this £160 is to be separate from the £3,000 by which Sylvius hopes to reduce Graan's debt. Curia is not happy about this new well; they think the old water supply is good enough to put into good condition. Anyway, it is to be kept up to the mark as a supply in case of fire.
