Paris House: Avenue Hoche: interesting documents concerning St. Joseph's, 50 av. (de la Rein Hortense) Hoche, Paris, during the revolution of 1871, They consist of a letter (with envelope) addressed to Citoyen (i.e. Brother Seraphim), a certificate regarding the census and a MS note
Holy Cross Retreat, Ardoyne, Belfast; Dispute with Bishop McAllister: Copy (draft) letter from Provincial to Bishop McAllister (has a note, "changed a little by Provincial and sent on 20 June). Refers to wish of Sacred Congregation that parties meet and settle matter amicably. Says he mentioned all the restrictions to the Sacred Congregation and that he wishes them all to be matters for settlement so as to avoid future rows. Would like a personal meeting. He would like any arrangement come to to be in writing. He would also like the two men recently ordained by the bishop to have faculties so as to be available for missions. He, therefore, formally presents Frs. Kevin and Ambrose.

Pius: photocopy of letter from the Provincial to all Rectors: Platea and records of missions and retreats are to be sent in order to facilitate Pius Devine in his history of the province. In the meantime notes for these books can be kept in a pass-book to be copied later into the platea and record of missions and retreats (v. 723)
