Presentation SistersA handwritten account of the early years of the convent founded at Enniscorthy on 17 Jul 1826 by Mother Mary Francis De Sales Devereux and Sr. Mary Joseph Rossiter under the authority of the Right Reverend Dr. Keating Bishop of Ferns. The annal records the establishment of the first school (1826), the building of a new convent and school (1840) and the deaths of community members. Also includes printed pamphlet in the back of the volume relating to Nano Nagle the centenary of the presentation order.
Presentation SistersA handwritten account of the early years of the convent founded at Dingle on 20 October 1829 by Sisters Mary Agnes Lonergan, Teresa Fitzharris and Francis Dunne from the convent in Tralee, under the authority of the Right Reverend Dr Cornelius Egan Bishop of Kerry. The annals record the establishment of the convent, the large numbers receiving the Sacraments, the famine in 1847 and how the Sisters tried to help those who were starving, mention of Daniel O’ Connell, the Liberator, and the beginnings of the industrial school in 1851.

Newspaper clippings include topics relating to Nano Nagle, the child abuse scandal, the establishment of Ceist, the death of Pope John Paul II and obituaries of Presentation Sisters.
