Correspondence of Fr. David Kelleher OFM Cap. with P.J. Letters from the Most Rev. Anthony McFeely, Bishop of Raphoe (1909-1986), to Fr. Nicholas O’Brien OFM Cap. and Fr. Berard Creed OFM Cap. thanking the Capuchin friars for placing Ard Mhuire at the disposal of diocesan priests for their annual retreats. Bishop McFeely also refers to the plans for the Friary. He writes: ‘We understand, of course, that the future of Ards presents you with a difficult problem; we only hope that the Fathers can remain’.

Newspaper cuttings book compiled and annotated by Fr. Stanislaus Kavanagh OFM Cap. Bound in hard covers with printed titled: ‘News cuttings’. The volume includes cuttings of articles relating to local history, antiquarian interest and charity sermons and retreats given by the Irish Capuchins. The volume includes the following articles:
• Report on a sermon in Holy Trinity Church, Charlotte Quay, by the Rev. Dr. Lyster on Fr. Agathangelus and Fr. Cassian, two Capuchin martyrs. [Nov. 1905].
• Report on the laying of the foundation stone for the Fr. Bernard Jennings OSFC Memorial in Holy Trinity Church. 'Cork Examiner', 13 Sept. 1906.
• Report on the dedication of the Fr. Bernard Jennings OSFC Memorial Extension in Holy Trinity Church. 'Cork Examiner', 20 Apr. 1908.
• Report on ceremonies in Holy Trinity Church, for the Feast of Portiuncula. Includes the sermon preached by Fr. Anselm Kenneally OSFC, Definitor-General. Aug. 1909.

Copy schedules and affidavits prepared for the High Court of Justice of Ireland (Probate Division) in relation to the personal estate and effects of Robert Warner, late of 71 Penrose Quay, Cork. The schedule includes property on Charlotte Quay held under lease (4 Dec. 1844) for 800 years subject to a head rent of £60; premises on Queen Street held under lease (1 Mar. 1845) for 800 years subject to a head rent of £25; and premises on Penrose Quay held under lease (27 Sept. 1875) for a residue of a term of 999 years subject to a head rent of £30 per annum during the life of Sarah Deaves. Negative searches in the Registry of Deeds for acts, deeds and wills affecting premises on Charlotte Quay formerly occupied by William Clarke, William Regan and Daniel Murphy. The schedule specifies that the search was for all acts by certain named persons (William Clarke, Sir William Saint Lawrence Clarke, Lady Elizabeth Barbara Clarke Travers, Francis MacNamara and Nicholas Daniel Murphy) from circa 1781-1877.

A bound volume with a manuscript title on the spine which reads ‘It’s Ireland’. The volume contains a very large number of postcard prints and photographic prints, newspaper clippings, original historical documents, and printed ephemera. Many of the pasted-in newspaper clippings (some of which are frayed and damaged) date from 1944 to 1946. These articles include references to the ongoing war in Europe, censorship in Ireland, the death of Frank Ryan, the execution of William Joyce (better known as ‘Lord Haw-Haw’), Eduard Hempel (the leading German diplomat in Ireland during the Second World War), and various political, artistic, and cultural events. Several invitation cards to Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. and Fr. Gerald McCann OFM Cap. for exhibitions and cultural events are also pasted into the volume. There are also a few clippings from the ‘Irish Travel’ magazine, the official organ of the Irish Tourist Association. The volume pages are not paginated.
