Sub-series contains three volumes of annals from Presentation Convent Durrow. The annals cover the major events in the life of Durrow Convent from its foundation in 1913 to the sale of the convent and the exit of the Presentation community from Durrow.

A collection of handwritten and typescript annals from Enniscorthy Presentation Community covering the period from its foundation in 1826 to its closure in 2001. A number of early volumes contain an overlap in regards to the dates covered and contain entries which are both copies and originals. Volumes are arranged chronologically with the exception of the seventh volume which contains photocopies of annals from previous volumes and the eight volume which is a handwritten partial transcription of the first volume.

Manuscript volume with entries ranging from years 1844 to 1944. The Principal annalists of this convent were Sr M. Augustine Stack, Sr M. Louis Stack, Sr M. Agatha Martin, and Sr M. de Pazzi Lane. The first annalist Sr M. Augustine Stack, begins with a description of the foundation, of the opening of the school on 27 June, and the arrival of the first postulant to the Community in September 1844. The greater part of the Listowel annals is devoted to a description of the famine years and the work of the Sisters to alleviate the hunger and suffering of the poor. The names of benefactors are recorded with gratitude. The involvement of the Sisters in controversy with the Commissioners of National Education regarding the Cross over the school is described in detail. From the many references to Dr Moriarty, from his appointment as Coadjutor Bishop of Kerry, on 2 May 1854. It is evident that he was a great friend and benefactor to the Community. During 1874, the annalist has listed the expenditure of and bequests to the Convent. A decade later, she describes the collection of funds for and the erection of a new Primary school. The final entries in this volume of the annals deal with centenary celebrations of the foundation of the convent in 1884.

Includes entries on the establishment of primary and secondary schools in the community, Vatican II, Union of the Presentation Sisters in 1976, jubilees, bereavements and anniversaries.

A handwritten account of the early years of the convent founded at Dingle on 20 October 1829 by Sisters Mary Agnes Lonergan, Teresa Fitzharris and Francis Dunne from the convent in Tralee, under the authority of the Right Reverend Dr Cornelius Egan Bishop of Kerry. The annals record the establishment of the convent, the large numbers receiving the Sacraments, the famine in 1847 and how the Sisters tried to help those who were starving, mention of Daniel O’ Connell, the Liberator, and the beginnings of the industrial school in 1851.

A handwritten account of the early years of the convent founded at Enniscorthy on 17 Jul 1826 by Mother Mary Francis De Sales Devereux and Sr. Mary Joseph Rossiter under the authority of the Right Reverend Dr. Keating Bishop of Ferns. The annal records the establishment of the first school (1826), the building of a new convent and school (1840) and the deaths of community members. Also includes printed pamphlet in the back of the volume relating to Nano Nagle the centenary of the presentation order.

This volume is laid out in a scrapbook style and contains photographs, newspaper clippings, leaflets and mass booklets. Newspaper clippings include topics relating to Nano Nagle, the child abuse scandal, the establishment of Ceist, the death of Pope John Paul II and obituaries of Presentation Sisters.
