Booklet containing information on the Capuchin Franciscan friars in Zambia (both Irish and locally-born). The entries are under name, date of birth, place of birth, dates of novitiate, first profession, solemn profession, and ordination (if applicable), feast day, favourite books, favourite foods, hobbies and interests, and greatest dislike. The booklet contains photographic prints of the friars.

Photographic albums of Fr. Owen O’Sullivan OFM Cap. The albums cover the years from 1971-1998 and include some personal, family and holiday (Ireland, Poland, Italy, and Bulgaria) photographs and prints relating to Fr. Owen’s missionary work in New Zealand and later in Zambia. He was resident in Zambia from 1978 to 1997. Most of the prints have been annotated by Fr. Owen on the reverse. The prints include:

Religious Retreat Photographs

Photographic prints of retreats for religious congregations at Ard Mhuire Retreat House, Creeslough, County Donegal. The file includes prints of the Franciscans Together Retreats at Ard Mhuire in August 1977 and in August 1978. The latter has an annotation attached giving the names of the retreat participants which included Capuchin friars, Observant Franciscans (OFM) and Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood (FMDM).

Registration Book of Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis

Sisters’ registration book of the Third Order of St. Francis attached to Holy Trinity Church, Cork. The opening pages of the volume contain a manuscript list of 142 names of sisters of the Third Order. The remainder of the volume comprises printed and dated forms of profession which contain the signatures of the sister, the father director, mother superioress, sister of novices and secretary.
