Spencer, C.P., Ignatius: ANGLICAN DAYS; photograph of Ignatius as an Anglican Minister. The original hangs at the entrance to the Chapel at Althorp. This copy came into the posession of Mount Argus on the closure of Birr Convebnt of Mercy.

1848001 Spencer,, C.P., Ignatius: Anglican Days: Masonic Sash: Part of the Masonic Sash worn by George Spencer (Fr. Ignatius Spencer, C.P.) before he became a Catholic. It was later adapted into a confessional stole and used by him, This fringe belonged to the Mercy Sisters, Birr, with whom Ignatius was particularly friendly. It was given to Mount Argus on the closure of the convent. IT IS LOCATED IN THE ARCHIVE DISPLAY CASE.

Spencer, Ignatius, C. P: CATHOLIC APOSTOLATE; Copy of letter from Rev. George Spencer, Westbromwich, to Mgr. Acton, Rome. In answer to request he says what he thinks of the position of the Church in England, and what should be done. Towards the end of this long letter he mentions the CPs. Mentions Phillipps has a chapel he would hand over and a house that would take 6 religious.
