1846034 Bl. Charles 1904015 Gerald O.Boyle 1895036 Placid Stevens Infromative Process

Blessed Charles - Cause:- Informative Process - letter from Placid Stevens, C.P., Sutton to Gerald O'Boyle. He sent all the docuents that were at his disposal. Has none of Charles's letters and had not started correspondence with those who knew Charles. Proceedings in Holland were successfully concluded. No official mention of those proceedings were made in the Dublin proceedings as it is the duty of the Postulator to work with material from independent tribunals. Charles's childhood and youth has nothing to do with Dublin.

1846034 Bl. Charles 1888012 C. Dunne Informative Process 1904015 G. O'Boyle 1890027 O. Donnelly

Blessed Charles - Cause:- Informative Process - letter from Cuthbert Dunne, Highgate, to Gerald O'Boyle. Papers relating to the cause have been found and are being sent to Ardoyne for collection by Mount Argus. They contain (a) original process in Latin and an Italian translation of same, (b) English rendering in brochure form, (c) envelope containing many letters re cures, (d) pencil translation of a hymn and post-communion prayer from the missal in Charle's own writing (e) exercise book titled "record of miracles effected by Fr. Charles", (f) a number of Latin forms for recording the evidence of witnesses at the Tribunal. These will give Gerald somethng substantial to work on. They are also evidence that Oswald Donnelly did much of, what he called, the spade-work in the cause. (N.B. At date of entering these details, none of the items mentioned above, with the exception of the witnesses forms, seem to have survived.)

Blessed Charles - Cause;- Informative Process - letter from Rev. T. O'Donnell, Archbishop's Secretary to Gerald O'Boyle enlosing "something" "received a few days ago". 1846034 Bl. Charles 1904015 Gerald O'Boyle 1908030 Brendan Keegan Informative Process

Blessed Charles - Cause;- Informative Process - letter from Fr. Brendan Keegan (https://passionistarchives.ie/index.php/fr-brendan-keegan/ ), writing from St. Mary's Convent, Southam, Warrickshire, where he is giving a retreat, to Gerald O'Boyle, who had evidenty asked Fr. Keegan to consult the novitiate archives at Broadway for information on Charles. Unfortunately, those archives are of the smallest dimensions, everything having been parcelled up and sent to The Graan on the transfer of the novitiate there. The "Professed Archives" have yielded no information, nor has the platea which have been carefully written up from the change from Woodchester to Broadway. Very sorry that he has not been able to be of any assistance.
