Letter from 'The Irish Press'

A letter from Aengus O'Daly, 'The Irish Press', to Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. enclosing copy prints of Tom Crean (1877-1938) and his widow and daughters. The prints were published in 'The Sunday Press' (15 July 1951).

Excursion to Arranmore Island

Capuchin friars about to embark upon an excursion to Arranmore Island (‘Árainn Mhór’) off the coast of County Donegal. A manuscript annotation on the reverse of the print reads 'August '54, Arranmore Excursion'. It is likely that the image was taken at Burtonport Harbour.

Laurence Campbell Sculptures / RHA Exhibition

Jacob’s Factory / Constance Markievicz

Execution "Cheers"

A republican leaflet asserting that the news of the execution of the 1916 leaders was greeted by cheers from members of the House of Commons. The document is an election flier for Joseph McGuinness in the South Longford by-election. Sub-title reads ‘Irish Independent of April 23rd’. Signed Darrell Figgis (1882-1925), Fairford, Gloucestershire, 20 April 1917.
