It is noted that Lance Corporal Eite, Royal Irish Rifles, was taken prisoner at the Battle of the Marne (September 1914). Lance Corporal Eite was employed at the Guinness Brewery prior to the outbreak of the war. It is also affirmed that Eite’s father resides at 31 Oxmantown Road in Dublin.
