Draft letter regarding house property 15, 17, 19 and 21 Matthews Court, Temple Road in Blackrock. Mrs Louisa Forde had land leased to her in 1900 for a term of sixty years. ‘The rent she pays goes to the support of the St Joseph’s College which is a college for the preparation and theological education of students aspiring to the R[oman] C[atholic] Priesthood, which is a charitable object’.
Document signed by Archbishop of Dublin, John Charles McQuaid, granting permission to set up a semi-public oratory with reservation of the Blessed Sacrament for the Retreat House at Blackrock, with reply of thanks from Saint Joseph’s, Blackrock, probably by the Provincial.
Letter from Edwards & Good, Solicitors and Law Agents, to Father Thomas Morrissey CM, seeking approval for development of a site on Broad Court, Sweetman’s Avenue.
Letter from Arthur O’Hagan & Son partner, John O’Donnell, relating to deeds of ownership. He states he is enclosing details of charges for deeds which he will be returning. Under a trust deed from 1825, he believes Thomas Morrissey CM to still be the legal owner. Which land he is referring to is not mentioned.
