Letter from Fr. Edwin Fitzgibbon OFM Cap., Provincial Minister, to Fr. Sylvester Mulligan OFM Cap., General Minister. Father Edwin relays a concern from Father Eunan Buckley, the Master of Novices in America. Father Eunan believes that, according to the Order’s rules, the Novitiate (the training period for new friars) must be held in a regular Monastery rather than a smaller Hospice. marginal note from Father Sylvester clarifies the canonical position.
