Report of the canonical visitation of various Third Order lay fraternities in the Western United States compiled by Fr. Joseph Fenelon OFM Cap., Commissary of the Third Order. Father Joseph notes that the visitation was undertaken despite unfavourable wartime travel conditions and low expectations for robust local rallies. It was affirmed that the most effective strategy to boost church attendance and achieve meaningful results for the Third Order (T.O.) would be to conduct a solemn Triduum for peace with victory under Third Order auspices in parishes where the fraternities were established. Consequently, Father Joseph notified fraternity directors across the Coast and Oregon of the visitation dates, though Directors Adrian Sharkett and Ambrose Brunton from Mendocino County (Ukiah and Fort Bragg) quickly responded that holding a Third Order rally in their area was entirely out of the question. Information on fraternities in various locations are made in the report.
