A Christmas greeting card from Clare Sheridan to Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. The card includes a photographic print of Sheridan working on a sculpture of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Christ Child. The caption reads ‘Oak tree from Battle Abbey, Sussex, carved in Galway by Clare Sheridan / 1949’.
A view of ‘Brookside’ on Lansdowne Road in Claremont, Cape Province, South Africa. The print shows a building used as a residence by the Irish Capuchin friars.
A bound volume containing newspaper clippings containing a transcription by An tAthair Peadar Ó Laoghaire of a medieval text on the life of Colum Cille (also known as Columba) (c.521-597), the founder of the monastery of Iona. The articles also contain translations and textual notes. The clippings are undated, but all the articles are headed ‘Our Gaelic Department / Colum Cille’ and are likely taken from the ‘Cork Examiner’.
