Letter from William Woodlock, Vickery’s Hotel, Bantry, County Cork. The letter provides detail of his trip to Counties Cork and Kerry. In relation to Bantry, Woodlock wrote ‘Nearly all the names over the shops are English: in fact, it is hard to think one is in Ireland at all, with Kingstons, and Coopers, and Taylors, and Murrays, and Robinsons. The Papists are making a footing, for I saw the name of Moriarty over one of the best shops in the place’.
Letter from William Walsh, Archbishop of Dublin, to Cardinal William Henry O’Connell, Archbishop of Boston. The printed letter refers to the former’s donation of £105 to the Irish National Fund inaugurated by the First Dáil.

A letter from William O'Brien, Bellevue, Mallow, County Cork, to Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. O'Brien encloses a subscription for a fund to support the publication of the late Father Henebry's work on Irish music.
A letter from William Magennis (1867-1946) to Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. enclosing a clipping of an article from the 'Evening Mail' containing an apology to the Censorship of Publications Board (15 Feb. 1941). Magennis also refers to the 'Orange Terror' publication which he suggests has 'disturbed the calm of the Dean of Belfast'.
A letter from William Frederick Paul Stockley (1859-1943) to Fr. Henry Rope. Stockley refers to the case of Alice Cashel imprisoned in Galway Jail. Stockley writes ‘She is in prison for six months. He sister says she loves to hear poetry. She is a distinguished graduate, and teacher, and a fine type. She knows Irish well’. Stockley suggests that Father Rope could send her a copy of his poetry.
A letter from W.G. Lyon, The Talbot Press, to Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. congratulating him on the latest edition of ‘The Capuchin Annual’ and offering his suggestions for improving the periodical.
Letter from W. Howard affirming that he has been ordered to ‘hold no further communication’ with the letter writer. A manuscript note attached to the letter reads ‘D. Murphy / W. Howard / I am ordered to hold no further communication with you / Nino McEvoy … Craughwell’. Both the letter and the note are endorsed ‘7198’.
A letter from Vincenzo Berardis, Italian Minister to Ireland, to Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap., thanking him for a copy of ‘The Capuchin Annual’. Berardis also offers some ‘enclosed publications’ from the Italian legation.
