Refers to wish of Sacred Congregation that parties meet and settle matter amicably. Says he mentioned all the restrictions to the Sacred Congregation and that he wishes them all to be matters for settlement so as to avoid future rows. Would like a personal meeting. He would like any arrangement come to to be in writing. He would also like the two men recently ordained by the bishop to have faculties so as to be available for missions. He, therefore, formally presents Frs. Kevin and Ambrose.

The damage to the sluice gate has been caused by the Rector's own workmen, so Captain is not liable. See also item under serial numbers: 1037, 1039.
