Thomas offered to translate into English for transmission to the bishop the paper he (Thomas) had presented to Propaganda. Permission was given and also that he might make any modification he thought fit. Encloses a copy (which was not to hand at date of computerisation). Comments in the document are deliberatly mild in the hope that the bishop will give in good-naturedly.
He mentions that the provincial will have alrady shown to Arthur the General's reasons for not agreeing to Arthur's proposed translation to Australia, namely that robust health is required for that country.
