1846034 Bl. Charles 1888012 C. Dunne Informative Process 1904015 G. O'Boyle 1890027 O. Donnelly

Blessed Charles - Cause:- Informative Process - letter from Cuthbert Dunne, Highgate, to Gerald O'Boyle. Papers relating to the cause have been found and are being sent to Ardoyne for collection by Mount Argus. They contain (a) original process in Latin and an Italian translation of same, (b) English rendering in brochure form, (c) envelope containing many letters re cures, (d) pencil translation of a hymn and post-communion prayer from the missal in Charle's own writing (e) exercise book titled "record of miracles effected by Fr. Charles", (f) a number of Latin forms for recording the evidence of witnesses at the Tribunal. These will give Gerald somethng substantial to work on. They are also evidence that Oswald Donnelly did much of, what he called, the spade-work in the cause. (N.B. At date of entering these details, none of the items mentioned above, with the exception of the witnesses forms, seem to have survived.)

Blessed Charles - Cause:- Informative Process - letter from Cuthbert Dunne, Highgate, to Gerald O'Boyle (in reply to a letter from Gerald to the Provincial seeking documentation in connection with the cause). Cuthbert has searched but can find no dcuments. Provincial had asked Placid Stevens to forward whatever documents Oswald Donnelly had collected. Seems he has failed to do so. Cuthbert will forward Gerald's leter to him in the hope that it may prompt him to move in the matter. (N.B. Placid had already written Gerald on 29/01/1928 stating that he had sent all documents that were at his disposal - see item umder serial no. 6108).

Blessed Charles - Cause:- Informative Process - letter from Oswald Donnelly, C.P., to Dr., Matthew Condur Marmion, The White House, Dungannon, Co., Tyrone, asking if he is willing to give evidence at the Informative Process concerning the alleged cure by Fr. Charles of a Miss Mary Jane Martyn? (N.B. A letter from Dr. Marmion concerning this cure is quoted on pp 179-181 in "The Life of Fr. Charles" published in 1893 and details of the cure are included on p 23 of The Articles Proposed For The Informative Process (see item under serial no. 3590).

1846034 Bl. Charles 1890027 O. Donnelly M.C. Marmion Mary Jane Martyn Informative Process Cures

Blessed Charles - Cause:- Informative Process - letter from Dr. Matthew Condur Marmion, The White House, Dungannon, Co. Tyrone, in reply to that of 28/05/1923 from Oswald Donnelly (see item under serial no. 6103). He will be willing to give evidence concerning the cure of Mary Jane Martyn for the Informative Process, but may find getting away dificult due to his medical practice. Would also be expensive. Suggests that someone be sent to call on him to whom he would make a sworn statement. There is no indication as to what happened in this case: but his testemony must have been given as the case is included on p 23 of The Articles Proposed For The Informative Process (see item under serial no, 3590)
