With a covering letter from Sullivan to Fr. • A letter to Timothy O’Mahony notes that ‘1916 sets me a very difficult problem of finding new writers and new information or I should say information presented in a new way. It is this approach that will give our coverage of it real value for our readers and for the period itself’ (2 Feb. 1965).
• A letter to J. Kotoun affirms that ‘a publication such as "The Capuchin Annual", though of high prestige value, is run by an Order and works on a shoe-string. We produce it as a Catholic and patriotic effort which has, I have no doubt, done much good for these objects for over thirty years’ (2 Feb. 1965).
