The consideration money for the surrender is £3,250. As a result of a secret ballot, ordered by the Pope following the resignation of Fr. Dominic of the Name of Mary, the Pope (Pius IX) appoints Fr. Bernard of St. Joseph as General and makes other appointments to the other General office. Translation of the decree is attached.
