It was moved to its present location on O’Connell Street in 1929.

Staines was the Sinn Féin candidate, and he defeated John Dillon Nugent (Irish Parliamentary Party) in the contest. The flier was issued by W.J. Norman, 57 Dame Street, Staines’s election agent.
