A production still from Delia Murphy Kiernan’s film ‘The Island Man’. The volume contains several production images from the film which was set on the Blasket Islands off the coast of County Kerry. The prints were assembled for a promotional article on the film published in ‘The Father Mathew Record’.

The caption is taken from a letter from McCullagh extant in letter book at CA CP/3/1/1/5. Several of McCullagh’s photographs relating to the Russian Civil War and the foundation of the Soviet Union are extant in the photographic volume.
