A clipping of a letter by Seán O’Casey referring to the religious beliefs of Frank Ryan. O’Casey recalls his meetings with Ryan during the Spanish Civil War period and refutes the suggestions made about Ryan by the ‘dogmatic’ Hamish Fraser. The letter is dated 2 April 1952 but the newspaper from which the clipping was taken is not stated in the volume.

A flier referring to the imprisonment of the leaders of the Dublin Unemployed Association in Mountjoy Jail and asking workers to protest to secure their release. A manuscript annotation on the reverse of the flier reads ‘The meeting on Sunday 6th was attended by a few important men from “The Irish Workers’ League” including Mr Furlong and Mr O’Riordan’.
