Yeats refers to the reproductions of his work in the publication which he describes as ‘wonderfully successful’. A letter from Jack B. Yeats to Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. regarding a tribute article for the late Abbey Theatre actor, F.J. McCormick (1890-1947). Yeats refers to McCormick as ‘a very great actor’ but indicates that he will be unable to contribute to a tribute to be published in the 1948 edition of the ‘Annual’.

Dillon suggests that some of the articles in the ‘Annual’ could be described as ‘blatant, if incongruous Fianna Fáil propaganda’. The letter was published in the ‘Irish Independent’ (10 July 1942).
