Please submit the name you wish to have appointed Rector. Either Fr. Geoghegan or Fr. Moore would be acceptable to us. Fr. Hardy would be acceptable for Castleknock." Letter in French from Antoine Fiat CM, Superior General, to Thomas Morrissey CM, Provincial: “If the Irish Bishops offer the direction of All Hallows College, you can hardly refuse to accept. If the conditions are similar to those of the Irish College, Paris, you can accept and then inform me. If other terms are proposed, consult me before accepting.” Handwritten letter and typewritten transcription.

Parts of draft letters regarding Burrowes property. Writer and recipient are not named, and the drafts are undated. Thanks is made for a letter of the twenty fourth instant, and reference is made elsewhere to 20 March 1855. Reference is made to a John O'Hagan who is deceased, and the writer also says 'The solicitor who acted for our fathers in purchasing of this the Burrowes property here is also dead'. The writer also says 'This property was acquired by Reverend John Burns about 1770' and that after his death it was held in trust for his five daughters. Some pages of the draft letters are missing.
