Holy Cross Retreat, Ardoyne, Belfast; Dispute with Bishop McAllister: letter from the Superior of Ardoyne, Fr. Anthony O'Carroll, to the Provincial, Highgate, explaining why no Passionist was at the conference of the clergy (held in the Diocese?). All were occupied and he had informed the Bishop - Bishop's reply enclosed. (NB. This reply is not attached). Anthony thinks we could not agree to the Bishop's ideas and explains why. Suggests that Provincial brings a canonist with him when he meets the Bishop. Best be prepared with facts as to what our priveileges are. If any men are presented for faculties exams, they had better be good. Anthony thinks we should act now.
