Mount Argus: Finances: communication via John Cavanagh, Solicitor, 50 Dame Street, Dublin, from Arnold Fooks, &Co.,Milton near Gravesend, re Mount Argus loan (no details given) enclosing Council's opinion (not extant). Deed of 23 October, 1861 void. New deed should be made by Fr. Grotti, secured by life insyrance on him, Communication also contains a query re head-rent.
St. Oliver Plunket: Letter from Edward Faywood, Brook View, Kimmage Rd. to Fr Sebastian Slean,CP: Mrs. Haywood sends an engraving of (St.) Oliver Plunket, which she says has been in her family for 150 years (i.e., since 1747, 70 years after martyrdom). The only other known copy is in the Academy. The engraving is located under serial number 3400.

Spencer, Ignatius, C. P: CATHOLIC APOSTOLATE; Copy of letter from Rev. George Spencer, Westbromwich, to Mgr. Acton, Rome. In answer to request he says what he thinks of the position of the Church in England, and what should be done. Towards the end of this long letter he mentions the CPs. Mentions Phillipps has a chapel he would hand over and a house that would take 6 religious.
