1846034 Blessed Charles Houben, C.P., Writings: envelope bearing the following inscription: "Scripta Servi Dei N. 4" and an episcoipal seal (Dublin?) which is now broken. The following details are typed on the envelope: " Contents: Notes, Resolutions, Draft letters to relatives, written by the Servant of God Father Charles of St. Andrew, Passionist ".

1846034 Blessed Charles Houben, C.P., Writings: typescripts of 10 letters (probably translation from Dutch) written by Blessed Charles to relatives. It has not been possible to locate the originals. However, nos. 8 and 29 would seem to be translations of letters nos 7 and 29 in Dutch Transcript of letters located at 4/3/1/13.

1846034 Bl. Charles Houben - Life:- 2 copies of a typed MS entitled "The Boyhood Of Fr. Charles - His Vocation To The Passionist Life. The First Year Of His Priestly Life Before He Was Appointed To The Passionist Retreat, Mount Argus, Dublin" The envelope in which these copies are located states, in Herman Nolan's writing, that they are by Fr. Louis Mary, C.P., (Dermot Carroll, C.P.,).

1846034 Blessd Charles Houben, C.P.,Relics: Writings: McEvoy family: 2 envelopes containing relics of Blessed Charles which were returned to Fr. Oliver Kelly, C.P., Vice-Postulator for the Cause, by the McEvoy family. One contains a lock of Blessed Charle's hair and the other a card containing part of the habit worn by him. Both items are certified by Fr. Dominic O,Neill, C.P.,, Provincial Councillor. Also included in this folder are two envelopes in Blessed Charles's handwriting, which were posed from St. Helen's to Mrs. McEvoy

1846034 Bl. Charles Houben - Life:- extract from a newspaper dated 14/05/1893, just four moths after the death of Fr. Charles giving an account of a sermon preached by Fr. Austin Hawke-Simms, C.P., during a May procession at Mount Argus. It contains a reference to Fr, Charles.

1846034 Blessed Charles Houben, C.P. McEvoy family and Blessed Charles: Young, Fr. Henry: Folder containing correspondence and other items from Mrs. McEvoy to her daughter, Pauline, The items are as follows:
(A) certificate issued on occasion of Pauline's First Holy Communion on 14.06.1973
(B) envelope which contained certain relics or memorabilia, dated 1964, with instructions thar relics were to be given to Pauline
(C) copy letter addressed to Pauline dated 12.08.1874, which seems to be a sort of will.
(D) envelope containing lock of hair of Fr. Henry Young, St. Joaephs'Asylum. This was St. Joseph's', Portland Row. See item under serial number 4918 for life of Fr. Henry Young,who served in Harold's Cross and was a contempprary of Blessed Charles.
(E) photograph of Mrs. Roderick Brown (who is she?)

1869019 O'Hagan, C.P., Wilfred ;1846034 Bl. Charles Houben - Life:- photocopy of letter from Fr. Wilfred O'Hagan, C.P., to Ada describing to her the scene at the funeral of Fr. Charles, and enclosing for her the sign that Charles wore while he was waking. He can't say whether it is the sign he wore when he was alive. This sign was later recovered by Fr. Oliver Kelly, C.P., and is on display in the Blessed Charles Museum together with the original of this letter.

1846034 Bl. Charles Houben - Life:- copy of pages from "The Lamp" of 14/01/1893 has a note from Oliver Kelly, C.P., attached to it stating that it contains a portion of an article written on Fr. Charles the week after his death, and that it was given to him by Msg, Vanheggin. grand-nephew of Bl. Charles. The extracts attached do not contain any reference to Fr, Charles. The originals evidently were lost, But a copy seems to have been obtained at a later date, and this copy is located separately at 4/2/1/7 serial no. 6402.

It does not contain an episcoipal seal (Dublin?) or the inscription "Scripta Servi Dei", as do the previous 5 items, so it is not clear whether contents were scrutinised during the Cause. In fact the envelope only contains 17 items
