Letter from Fr. Augustine Hayden OFM Cap., Kapuzinerkloster (Capuchin friary), Appenzell, Switzerland, to Br. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. The lengthy letter refers to his recollections of Tadhg Ó Murchadha (‘Seandún’) which Br. Senan would like to publish in ‘The Father Mathew Record’. Augustine also refers to his presidency of the Cork branch of the Gaelic League and to his first meeting with ‘Seandún’ in the Capuchin Friary in Cork. Fr. Augustine wrote ‘That night I saw his heart was in flame with love of Irish …’.
