Photographic prints of the repatriation and reburial of the bodies of Fr. Albert Bibby OFM Cap. and Fr. Dominic O’Connor in the cemetery of Rochestown Capuchin Friary, County Cork. Includes photographs of the arrival of the coffins at Shannon Airport. Other prints show the coffins at the High Altar in Holy Trinity Church, Cork, where a special Solemn Mass was celebrated. Some of the photographs show An Taoiseach Éamon de Valera, President Seán T. O’Kelly and Jack Lynch attending the ceremonies. Fr. Albert Bibby OFM Cap. and Fr. Dominic O'Connor OFM Cap. were laid to rest in a burial ceremony on 14 June 1958. The funeral mass was celebrated by Fr. Hilary McDonagh OFM Cap., Vicar Provincial, and the coffins were laid side by side adjacent to the grave of Fr. Augustine Hayden OFM Cap. Parnell Square, Dublin

A view of the northern side of Parnell Square, Dublin, in about 1940. To the left is the Rotunda Gardens, a Georgian square situated at the northern end of O’Connell Street. A sizeable portion of the gardens were later used as the site for the National Garden of Remembrance in the 1960s. The Hugh Lane Gallery is situated in the building recessed at the right, with the Coláiste Mhuire buildings at the far end of the street.
