Newspaper cuttings referring to Father Mathew Hall, Church Street. The cuttings are mainly from 'The Irish Catholic' and include references to the opening of 'Aonach na Bealtaine', temperance work, membership of the Hall, notices of annual meetings, details of excursions and lectures, and statements of accounts of the Hall Committee. One of the cuttings refers to the work of Fr. Albert Mitchell OSFC in founding the temperance sodality. It reads ‘in 1881 the association was installed in modest apartments in Halston Street … in 1891, the centenary year of Father Mathew, the new fine hall now standing on Church Street was opened during the presidency of Father Columbus Maher OSFC’. Includes two sketches of Fathers Mitchell and Maher. The report of the 23rd annual meeting of Father Mathew Hall contained a short excerpt of a speech by Pádraig Pearse in which he stated that the ‘Irish Ireland movement would be successful only so far and so long as it went hand in hand with temperance and its off-shoot of total abstinence’.

• 'The Pioneer', Aug. 1956. The magazine contains an illustrated article on the Father Mathew Rally held in Mardyke in Cork on 24 June 1956. The rally was attended by many Capuchin friars from Holy Trinity Church and the keynote address was given by Fr. James O’Mahony OFM Cap.
• Photographic print of the exterior of Holy Trinity Church, Father Mathew Quay, Cork. It is noted that the Church is listed for preservation in the Cork Draft Plan. 'Evening Echo', 27 Nov. 1968.
• Article (with photographic) print regarding the conferring of Papal award on Bernard Curtis for his loyal and longstanding service as organist in Holy Trinity Church, Cork. The group includes Fr. Alexius Healy OFM Cap. and Fr. Colga O’Riordan OFM Cap. 'Cork Examiner', 24 Nov. 1972.
• Photographic print of the Holy Trinity community on the occasion of the Golden Jubilees of Fr. Brendan O’Callaghan OFM Cap., Fr. Edward Walsh OFM Cap. and Fr. Columbus Murphy OFM Cap. The photograph was taken on 22 Sept. 1948 and was reproduced in the 'South Gate', 22 Sept. 1988.

The pages have been numbered by Fr. Stanislaus. The book includes on pp 47-52 cuttings of photographic prints reporting the funeral of Thomas McCurtain, Lord Mayor of Cork. The clippings are taken from 'Cork Examiner', 'Irish Independent', 'Daily Sketch', 'Freeman’s Journal', 23-27 Mar. 1920. The clippings contain references to Fr. Dominic O’Connor OFM Cap.

Originally a printed book: 'In memoriam, Peter Fenelon' Collier (New York: privately printed, 1910), 113 pp. The book was subsequently used to house newspaper cuttings mainly relating to the history and friars of the Capuchin community, Holy Trinity Friary in Cork. The volume includes cuttings relating to triduums, ordinations, transfers, provincial chapters, missions and retreats, the Third Order of St. Francis, a note on the Father Mathew Chalice, and various Capuchin apostolates in Cork. The volume also contains obituaries of Fr. Bernard Jennings OSFC (d. 26 Dec. 1904); Fr. Cyril O'Sullivan OSFC (9 Dec. 1921); Fr. Fiacre Brophy OSFC (d. 5 Oct. 1926). Includes an original photographic print of Fr. Fiacre’s funeral; Fr. Peter Bowe OSFC (d. 25 Nov. 1926); Fr. Dermot O’Reilly OFM Cap. (d. 9 May 1945); Fr. Crispin Brennan OFM Cap. (d. 3 July 1949); Fr. Pacificus Ryan OFM Cap. (d. 1 July 1950); Fr. John Butler OFM Cap. (d. 3 Oct. 1950); Archbishop Sylvester Mulligan OFM Cap. (d. 23 Oct. 1950); Fr. Thomas Dowling OFM Cap. Other cuttings refer to the International Cork Exhibition (July 1902) and the consecration of Monsignor Phelim O’Shea OFM Cap. as the first Vicar Apostolic of Livingstone in Northern Rhodesia.
