One of the lists arranges the brothers by district and prefect name (St. Louis, St Patrick’s, St. Columcille and St. Fidelis). The list is endorsed on the verso with a statement of Third Order accounts for 1934.

The minutes provide information in respect of attendance, elections, professions, pilgrimages and others events organised by the local Third Order fraternity. The minutes are signed by spiritual directors.

Expenditure accounts include monies for monthly masses, quests, habits and scapulars, and wages for lay staff (such as ‘tertiary chapel woman’). Receipts include monies derived principally from member subscriptions.

Address to Archbishop Ignatius Persico OSFC (1823-1896) by the tertiaries of Kilkenny. Persico travelled throughout the country from July 1887 until January 1888 consulting prominent members of the hierarchy in relation to the Plan of Campaign and nationalist political agitation.

Will of Concubhar Ó Muíneacháin, St Kieran’s College, Kilkenny dated 4 Feb. 1931. He bequeaths £350 ‘for masses for my parents, brothers, sisters and self, to the guardian for the time being of the Friary, Kilkenny’ and appoints James Henry and the president of the Third Order attached to the Friary in Kilkenny as his executors. He leaves his books and manuscripts to the Capuchin Friary at Ard Mhuire, County Donegal. The file includes his stock and share certificates (for varying amounts) from the Dublin United Tramways Company, the Keystone Knitting Mills and the Irish-American Oil Company Limited.
