A manuscript annotation on the reverse reads ‘Wishing Uncle Maurice & Ellie all the joys and blessings of the Holy Xmas season / M.P.H / 1894’. A later annotation reads ‘Mrs O’Brien, aunt of Dr. O’Hickey’.
