Colour print showing Fr. Theobald Mathew OSFC administering the pledge (probably at the Custom House, Dublin). The caption reads: ‘The Very Revd. Theobald Mathew / Administering the Temperance Pledge / I promise to abstain from all intoxicating drinks &c except used medicinally, and by order of a medical man, and to discountenance the cause and practice of intemperance / Prayer / May God bless you and enable you to keep your promise’. The frame backing has a printed flier from the ‘Association of Men of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus / Church of St. Kevin, Harrington Street, A.D. 1914’.
Two framed temperance medals. Both of the medals have ribbons attached (purple and green). The purple ribbon has the following inscription: ‘Approach them once a month / Live worthy of them the entire month / They loose and bind in heaven’. The medal with the green ribbon has an image of St. Patrick with the motif ‘Apostle of Ireland / Pray for Us’. The inscription above reads ‘Temperance / Perseverance’.
The Franciscan Capuchin Mission Manual published at St. Mary of the Angels, Church Street, Dublin. The manual contains hymns, information on mission ceremonials, notes on the Father Mathew Total Abstinence Association, and the form of the pledge to be taken at missions given by the Capuchin friars.

The file comprises the following: an undated first edition of 'Freedom' containing an ‘extract from a letter from Rory O’Connor’ regarding the attack on the Free Courts; 17 Sept. 1922 (no edition number) with a portrait of Lawrence Ginnell by Constance Markievicz; 24 Sept. 1922 (No. 7) with a drawing of the ‘the branded arm of James O’Reilly sketched from life’ by Constance Markievicz; 22 Oct. 1922 (No. 11), 3 copies; Dec. 1922.
Handbill-style copies of the 'Freeman’s Journal' and 'Evening Telegraph', 1-10 Apr. 1922. Following an attack by armed Irregular republicans, these pro-Treaty publications appeared as cyclostyled typescript handbills which were pasted on walls all over Dublin city. The papers mainly contained editorials referring to the attack on the newspaper premises, expressed defiance of those responsible for the assault, and assertions that the papers would appear in some form or other. Reference was also made to the need to fight ‘tyranny in whatever garb it appears’. It was reported that republicans later went about the city tearing down the editorials wherever they were posted.

The file includes programmes for concerts held in the Gresham Hotel on 30 Aug. 1964 and on 28 Aug. 1966. The programmes list the music played and the performers. Include autographs of some of the operatic singers.
