Duplicate of Lawrence Photo of interior of Mt. Argus church (1878). and as it remained till 1936: The 'Gloria' at back of sanctuary had a triangle with the Hebrew word of GOD. in it. Side altar to left was the S. Heart, to right St. Joseph. The tabernacle was a gift from the Police. The two gas-candelabra in sanctuary were between altar rails and steps; later they were moved to corners of the last step. The pulpit is that erected by Padraig Peacse's father's workshop. Two of the angels on sounding board are now (1976) in church sacristy. The front panel is now in the 1976 Ambo. The gas-jets for church are between the pillars in the railings that divided nave from aisle.

1852009 Pakenham, C.P., Paul Mary: The Holy Rule (English Version): printed c 1851. This copy belonged to Fr. Paul Mary Pakenham and bears his signature: "AD USUM PAULI MARIAE A.S. MICHAELA". It was either given to, or taken by, Bro. Lawrence Carr for his own use on the day of Fr. Paul Mary's death, 1 March, 1857.

Makes various decisions re matters that arose from the recent General Visitation. Silence. After Night Prayers, everybody to be in house. No eating in houses outside. Preparation for Mass. No bicycles. No smoking (except as medicine). No yearly vacation. No 2 half-days a week. Director to be free to be Director. No going outsde Province. Stick to Holy See's regulations re Masses. No debts without permission.

Bro. Mark Kangley: photocopy of the title page of "An Introduction to a Devout Life" by St. Francis de Sales, bearing an inscription from Bro, Bernard McScally, C.P., to his friend Edward Kangley. This book was shown to Declan O'Sullivan, C.P., by Miss Una Dunne from Paris, a descendant of Mark's.
